WoW Forever dungeon levels and access notes
Blizzard published nine new five-player dungeons for levels 13 through 60. This page keeps Blizzard's brackets and the access notes that article actually gives. It is not a boss-by-boss walk. Interior routes were not copied from anywhere.
Hall of Thanes
Beneath Ironforge, Dun Morogh.
Blizzard calls it the resting place of dwarven monarchs and says intruders, suspected to be Dark Iron dwarves, have broken into the halls.
Alliance groups can reach the entrance from inside Ironforge. Horde groups have to travel into Alliance territory. The article does not list a flight path or a quest that unlocks the door.
Ruins of Lordaeron
In the ruined city above the Undercity, Tirisfal Glades.
Blizzard says the Forsaken are trying to reclaim the ruins, and that reports of a necromancer are part of the call to the dungeon.
Horde groups can reach the entrance from the Undercity. Alliance groups have to enter Horde territory. No quest chain is printed beyond that access note.
Excavation Site
Above Whelgar's Excavation, near Thelgen Rock and Dun Algaz, in the Wetlands.
Blizzard describes a mist and flashes of light above the dig, then a place that seems frozen in time, with titan constructs and wildlife.
The location sentence is the access note. No attunement quest is named.
City of Dalaran
Alterac Mountains.
Blizzard says a barrier over Dalaran's restoration has fallen, constructs are loose, and the group enters through the sewers after earning the Kirin Tor's trust. The article names the quests that start that attunement and does not list every step between them and the door.
Alliance begins with An Alarming Request from Emissary Jacques in Southshore. Horde begins with Key to the City and Prison Break-In from Magus Wordeen Voidglare in Tarren Mill.
The Drowned City
Off the coast of Stranglethorn Vale, west of Grom'gol.
Blizzard describes risen troll ruins, trolls, naga, and a wrecked pirate ship. The entrance is underwater, and the open-air interior builds from mist and rain into a storm.
Dive for the entrance west of Grom'gol. No surface quest is named.
Krol'dok Stronghold
Riverglades.
Ogre outrunners are kidnapping travelers. The stronghold has workshops, camps, and guarded passages. Blizzard also mentions strange chanting after nightfall.
The article says to follow the outrunners' trail. It does not name the quest that starts that trail or the path from Powderfuse Port.
Alcaz Prison
Alcaz Island, Dustwallow Marsh.
Blizzard says the prison doors are open, and that Defias and naga are in conflict inside. King Varian Wrynn is mentioned as part of the island's old rumors, not as a published boss list.
The location is the access note. No boat timer or quest name is in the article.
Blackmaw Hold
Beyond a long-sealed gate in Azshara.
A furbolg city of the Blackmaw clan, dealing with corruption in its groves and tunnels. Blizzard says the deepest reaches may lead farther below Azeroth, and that the dungeon has multiple routes and bosses. The bosses are not named here because the article does not name them.
The gate is in Azshara. How the seal is opened is not in the article.
Shaper's Terrace
The northern hills of Un'Goro Crater.
An old titan facility above Un'Goro. Blizzard's practical note is to bring power crystals gathered in Un'Goro and use them at consoles inside.
Northern hills of Un'Goro. Crystal spawn points are not listed in the article.
Checklist
Hall of Thanes
-
Blizzard's access note says Alliance players can reach the entrance from within their capital.
-
The same note says Horde groups have to make that journey. It does not name a tunnel, a disguise, or a summoning step.
Ruins of Lordaeron
-
Blizzard says Horde players can reach the entrance easily from the Undercity.
-
Alliance groups are told they will need to venture into Horde territory. The route is not spelled out.
Excavation Site
-
The article places the dungeon near Thelgen Rock and Dun Algaz. It does not give a coordinate.
City of Dalaran
-
Emissary Jacques in Southshore. Blizzard calls this the start of the required attunement. Later steps are not published in the article.
-
Magus Wordeen Voidglare in Tarren Mill. Named as a Horde starting quest for the attunement.
-
The same NPC, Magus Wordeen Voidglare in Tarren Mill. The article names both quests and does not say which is accepted first.
The Drowned City
-
Blizzard says to dive below the water to find the entrance. It does not give a depth or a coordinate.
Krol'dok Stronghold
-
The only sourced instruction is to follow the kidnapping trail to the stronghold. A click-by-click path would be invented, so it is not written here. The Riverglades page has the sourced ways into the zone.
Shaper's Terrace
-
Use them at consoles in the terrace. The article does not say how many, which crystals, or where they sit in the crater.
